The first of a planned series of publications from local historian
Stephen Flinders.
Based on genealogical material gleaned from a number of sources, including
last wills and testaments, the parish registers and the manor court rolls,
this first volume concentrates on a number of local families, namely:
the Courtbys, Days, Flamsteads, Harveys, Hellots, Horsleys, Lowes and the
Pars. Containing a wealth of information which proposes to show how these
and a number of other local families were interconnected, sometimes in the
most unexpected manner.

ST.MARY'S PARISH REGISTERS.
Perhaps one of the most important
publications available to those tracing their family history back through
Ilkeston's past are the transcripts of Ilkeston St.Mary's Parish Registers.
These have been produced and published in print by local historian Stephen
Flinders and so far covers the whole
register from its earliest date of 1588 through to 1901.
These published transcripts contain in the region of 27,000 entries of
baptisms, marriages and burials and have been produced with the kind help
and approval of the Derbyshire Records Office at Matlock.
The transcripts are contained in four volumes.

around 4,000 entries)
Volume 2 Ilkeston St.Mary's - The Complete Register 1700-1799 (contains
around 9,000 entries)
